After a number of COVID-19 cases were reported in the school, Humboldt Collegiate Institute is going to online learning for this week.
The first case was identified on March 30, with the others coming on April 6 and 7. Horizon School Division says public health has informed them that the cases are Variants of Concern, but the division did not say which variant.
Students will be learning online until at least Friday.
Meanwhile, the Wapiti Regional Library has said the Humboldt Reid-Thompson Branch will be closed until further notice due to a staff close contact.
It is unknown if the two cases are connected.
