RCMP have confirmed a person in the community of Nipawin has died, resulting in a coroner’s service investigation.
On May 7 at about 8:20 p.m., Nipawin RCMP responded to a report of a sudden death in the community.
No other details were confirmed, other than the coroner’s service investigation.
The Coroner’s Service has the job of investigating any time there is a sudden, unexpected or unnatural death.
Their task can include identifying a deceased person and how, when, where and by what means the person died, uncover dangerous practices or conditions that may lead to death, educate the public respecting dangerous practices and conditions and publicize and maintain records of the circumstances and causes of death.
When asked, the RCMP did not confirm that any criminal charges had been laid in connection with the death.
