AC/DC‘s “Thunderstruck” knows no limits when it comes to cover versions.
It’s been played on a Stylophone, bagpipes, a gayageum — a Korean instrument — and a Guzheng, a traditional Chinese zither (string instrument). It’s also been covered by monks; done in bluegrass and classical and a washing machine replaced the bass and drums on another version.
We can add to the list a version from Taiwan done on a Shamisen — a three-stringed ancient Japanese instrument derived from the Sanxian, a three-stringed traditional Chinese lute.
