Even something with “10 cents” on it can sell for a lot of money, but like anything these days, there’s a collector’s market.
The magazine Maclean’s reported that a $2 Canadian Tire bill from 1989 auctioned for over $3,000 and a 50-cent note from 1958 is now worth $1,500 – not bad for just a few dollars!
A stack of 100 $0.10 bills dated back to 1972 for the Canadian Tire gas bar also sold on eBay for $50. These aren’t the only ones with reasonable prices. A $0.25 bill dating from 2013 sold on eBay for $74.99.
If you’re more interested in the value of actual Canadian currency, there are some rare Canadian bills that sell for thousands of dollars too
