A man charged with second-degree murder after the death of a woman at Yellow Quill First Nation will have his trial next month.
26-year-old Cole Smokeyday will stand trial at Melfort King’s Bench Feb. 24.
Smokeyday is charged in the death of 24-year-old Terrance Tony-Kishayinew last year.
Rose Valley RCMP were called about an injured person at a home on Yellow Quill First Nation on Aug. 18.
Officers found an injured woman at the scene, and she was declared dead by EMS.
